Mary Etta Exum Purvis, age 51, died, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center in Leesburg, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Monday, July 14, 2014, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald. Interment will follow in the Vickers Cemetery in the Lax community of Coffee County. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 13, 2014, from 6-8 pm at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Purvis was born in Adel, Georgia, on November 27, 1962, to Vernon Lamar Exum of Ocilla, GA. and the late Mary Carolyn Bush. She was a retired Nurse and attended Ocilla Church of God until moving to Leesburg, Florida in 2010. She loved to cook and make candy.
In addition to her father, she is survived by: her husband, Daniel L. Puvis; two daughters, Kaylena Purvis and Stephanie Purvis all of Leesburg, Florida; a sister, Alice M. Alonzo of Fitzgerald; two brothers, Michael L. Exum of Nashville and the Rev. John C. Exum of Tifton. Her mother, Mary Carolyn Bush Exum, preceded her in death.
