Boston – Rosemonde M. (Fredette) Carpenter, 78, of New Bedford passed away July 4, 2014 at Beth Israel Hospital. She was the widow of George W. Carpenter.
Mrs. Carpenter was born in Somersworth, NH, daughter of the late Adelard and Bertha (Noel) Fredette, and resided in New Bedford since 1963. She was employed as a welder by Aerovox Inc. until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed bingo, going to the beach and swimming.
Survivors include her son: David W. Carpenter and his wife, Corinna, of New Bedford; 4 sisters: Doris Watson of ME, Janet Bickford of NH, Irene Carter of ME and Lois Vermette of ME; a brother: Richard Fredette of ME; 4 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be private.
