George E. Bayley

George E. Bayley, 94, of Anderson, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
He was born on February 26, 1920 in Anderson, the son of George W. and Lucy Lutton Bayley. He was employed as a bridge engineer with the Indiana State Highway Department for 42 years, retiring in 1982. He served in the Army of the United States and was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
He is survived by his wife Geneva June (Harshey) Bayley, whom he married on August 9, 1969, son, G. Calvin (Julia) Bayley of Anderson, 2 step children, Patricia (Felix) Trainor of Dubois, PA, and Norman "Buddy" (Susan) Allen of New Castle; a son-in-law: Daniel (Teresa) Lee of Pendleton; 9 Grandchildren, Deborah (Denny) Kalgren; Jennifer (Tom) Kuhn; Felicia (James) Bonebrake; James Trainor; Brad (Angie) Allen; Gregory (Lori) Allen; Debra (Phil) Stevens; Diana (Wesley) Likens; Leslie Hershberger, 13 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters Kathryn Cloud and Betty Funkhouser both of Anderson, a sister in law, Joyce Muir, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (Stottlemyer) Bayley; his father, George Bayley, mother, Lucy Lutton Muir, Stepmother, Mildred Stottlemyer Bayley and Step Father, Otto Muir, a daughter, Darlene Lee, an infant daughter, Latricia Bayley and a brother, Leon Muir.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with P.T. Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
