Obituary

Rudolph “Rudy” Carlucci, 82, of Franklin died July 4 in Milford Regional Medical Center following a long illness. He was the husband of Rose (Marano) Carlucci.
Born in Santa Maria del Molise, Isernia, Italy, March 29, 1932, the son of the late Antonio and Addolorata Carlucci, Mr. Carlucci immigrated to Montreal, Canada at the age of 19 and came to Franklin in 1958.
Mr. Carlucci had worked for the Town of Franklin School Department as a custodian for several years before retiring. He had previously worked for 27 years at Kendall Mills in Walpole as a machine operator.
Rudy enjoyed gardening, reading, walking, children and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Theresa Jones and her husband Gary of Franklin, Nancy Carlucci of Franklin and Tina Carlucci of Franklin.
He is also survived by his siblings. Domenica Evangelista of Franklin, Olga Mucciarone of Franklin, Anna Pinelli and her husband Emilio of Franklin and Gino Carlucci and his wife Karen of Stoughton.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 9 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8.p.m.
