Lorraine N. (Perdomenico) Sainato, a resident of Hanson and formerly of Charlestown and the West End of Boston, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 30, 2014 at her home in Hanson following an extended illness. She was 77 years old.
Lorraine was born in Revere on December 28, 1936, a daughter of the late Dominic Perdomenico and Philomena (Ciampoli) Perdomenico. She grew up in the West End of Boston where she was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Michaelangelo High School in the North End of Boston. She worked as a waitress for many years and as a homemaker taking care of her family. She enjoyed traveling to Foxwoods, crocheting and playing cards.
Lorriane is the devoted mother of Robert Komneus of Charlestown, Walter Komneus of Charlestown, Linda McMaster of Hanson, Loren Hogan and her fiancé Dennis LeClair of Charlestown, Geraldine Soderlind and her husband John of Charlestown and the late Frank Komnenus. Step-mother of Maureen and James Sainato. Mother-in-law of John Hogan. Loving Nana to 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Edith Goyette of Ledyard, Connecticut, Joanne Mahoney of North Reading and the late Violette Biasucci, Ralph, Robert, Walter, David and Albert Perdomenico. Dear friend of Patricia Lavorna and Elizabeth Hogan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lorraine's Funeral on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 2 to 6 P.M. in the funeral home.
