Marvin L. Stanberry
July 30, 1943 to June 30, 2014
Marvin L. Stanberry, 70, of Chesterfield died June 30, 2014 at Markle Health and Rehab after a sudden illness.
He was born in Kempton, Tipton County, IN to Hubert and Emma (Hubbartt) Stanberry and graduated Summitville High School in 1961.
He served in the Army Reserves.
He retired in 2003 after 30 years at Inland Fisher Guide working production and salary positions.
He was a world traveler visiting many countries all over the world and went on over 20 cruises.
He was particularly interested in the history of the Titanic. He loved to do yard work.
He is survived by his sister, Carol Rosalee Lewis of Gas City and niece, Cheryl (Bill) Lawson; nephews: Jeffrey A. Lewis of Huntington; Steven C. (Barb) Lewis of Florida and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents and brother-in-law, Larry A. Lewis.
Service will be 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 3 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Kempton Cemetery in Kempton, IN. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
