Kenneth Robert Simpson, 86, of Jeffersontown, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 30, 2014.
He was born in Missoula, Montana, but grew-up in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and Baker City, Oregon . A trained Physicist, he worked as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric and MPD, and was an Army veteran of The Koran War where he served in the Medical Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Donald Simpson and Ruth Jane Mosteller Simpson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Mary Batrouney; children, Sheelah Simpson Pfeffer (Craig) and David Simpson (Jennifer); grandchildren, Vanessa Gabrielle Pfeffer and Austin Simpson Pfeffer; brother, Donald M. Simpson and sister, Janet S. Celick.
Funeral service will be held 1 pm, Thursday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd. Visitation 3-7 pm, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial Resthaven Cemetery.
