Gilford------Norman “Skip” J. Sasseville, Jr. of 16 Bedford Avenue, died at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, Mass. on Saturday, June 28, 2014.
Skip was born May 25, 1947 in Leominster, Mass., the son of Irene (Lavoie) and Norman Sasseville, Sr.
Skip resided in Belmont for several years before moving to Gilford in 1999. He was a self-employed woodworker who loved his family. Skip loved riding his Harley and enjoyed his Koi pond.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Lynda (Dyffryn) Sasseville, of Gilford; five sons, David Sasseville, of Maine, Richard Sasseville, of Massachusetts, Steven Sasseville of Massachusetts, Tommy “TJ” of New Hampshire and Norman “Little Skip” Sasseville, III and his wife, Brandy, of New Hampshire; six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nicholas, Ryan, Chloe, Jon and Kain; six sisters, Barbara Boudreau, and her friend, Steve, of Leominster, Norma Surovich and her husband, Jim, of Leominster, Linda Morgan and her husband, Timmy, of Sumter, S.C. , Joanne Gustafson, Karen Hebert and her husband, Jeff, and Janice Hebert and her husband, Scott , all of Leominster; two brothers, Francis Sasseville and his wife, Dee, of Florida and Alan Sasseville and his friend, Ed, of Las Vegas, N.V.; a sister-in-law, Arlene and Butch Foley, of Gardner, Mass. and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell and Shirley Dyffryn, of Colorado and two sister-in-law, Kathi Smith and Janet Smith, both of Mass. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sasseville was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Sasseville.
A calling hour will be held from 11:00AM to Noon on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
A Celebration of Life, with family and friends sharing, will follow the calling hour at Noon also at the Funeral Home.
