Obituary

Esther Campolattano, 95, formerly of Stone Drive in Cranston, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 surrounded by her family at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Bartholomew “Bart” Campolattano. They had been married for 59 years.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Paolo and Maddalena (Martinelli) Gamba.Esther had been a meat wrapper with the former Ruggeri Market in Cranston before retiring. She loved bingo, gardening, and playing cards.

She is survived by her children: Maryann Witt and her husband, William of Johnston and her son Robert Campolattano of Cranston; her granddaughter, Melinda Witt Psilopoulos, her great-grandson Michael Psilopoulos; her brother, Alfonso Gamba of Cranston and her sister, Pauline Ciutti of Johnston. She was the sister of the late Emma Paolontonio and Mary Pazienza.

Her funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Rocco’s Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Committal in Our Risen Christ Mausoleum in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101
