WORCESTER___Walentyna “Viola” Lopato, 96, of 26 Sterling St., died Sunday Nov. 14 in Millbury Health Care Center, 312 Millbury Ave., Millbury. Her husband, Joseph Lopato died in 1980.
She leaves a daughter, Hedwig Lewandowski and her husband, Raymond of Millbury; a daughter-in-law, Corinne Lopato of Worcester; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Francis Lopato of Worcester. She was born in Riga, Latvia daughter of Felix and Stanislawa Jasiulko and has lived here since 1928.
Mrs. Lopato worked as a seamstress many years for area companys and retired many years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday Nov. 17 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will held on Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home.
