
Maureen A. (Mansfield) Pichette, 83, formerly of Worcester, passed away Tuesday, June 24th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband of 58 years, Wilfred R. Pichette, died in 2011. She leaves a daughter, Sharon M. Bouvier and her husband Keith of Oxford, with whom she lived; two grandchildren, Alyssa Ryder of Somerville and Matthew Bouvier of Oxford; and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a brother, Francis “Ted” Mansfield, and a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Mansfield.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Matthew and Mary (Foley) Mansfield and graduated from the former Ascension High School. Mrs. Pichette was a longtime member of St. Stephen’s Church and its Jolly Jill’s and recently attended St. Ann’s Church, North Oxford. Mrs. Pichette loved cooking and baking and enjoyed Irish music. She and her husband enjoyed many summers at Hampton Beach. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren.
The funeral is Friday, June 27th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in St. Stephen’s Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, June 26th in the funeral home.
