Laura J. (Cloutier) Couture, 93, formerly of Willard St., Berlin, passed away on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin. She was born in Berlin on July 24, 1920 the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Schambier) Cloutier and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, a former member of the St. Kieran Altar Guild, the Women’s Bowling League and enjoyed reading, knitting and Sunday afternoon drives. Laura had worked as an Avon Representative. Her greatest love was her family, her husband Ralph A. Couture, whom she married on August 18, 1941, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family. She will be sadly missed.
Family includes her daughter Denise Goulet and husband Roland of Berlin; sons Donald R. Couture and wife Katherine of Berlin and Darryl Couture of Berlin and companion Jeanne Morin; 10 grandchildren Ryan, Grant, and Wade Goulet and families, Kevin, Karen, Keith, Katie, Kellie, Keith, Katrina and families; 19 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph and a sister Pauline Thibault.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 30 at 1 PM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
