Eleanor B. (Fournier) Blomstrom, 93, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, June 24th in her home. Her husband of 67 years, Alden A. Blomstrom, died in 2006. She leaves two sons, Kurt A. Blomstrom and Steven A. Blomstrom, both of Auburn; a daughter, Karen L. Prouty of Auburn; three brothers, Richard Fournier of FL, Robert Fournier of MA, and Paul Fournier of NY; four sisters, Virginia Joudrey of MA, Phyllis Brunelle of CA and Ann Gagnon, both of CA, and Joan Cullman of CT; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne A. Blomstrom, and a daughter, Barbara A. Blomstrom.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Alfred P. and Veronica (Barber) Fournier and graduated from the former High School of Commerce. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and was an avid gardener, but was happiest when she was with her family.
A visiting hour is from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 27th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 194 Oxford Street, Auburn, MA 01501.
