Ms. Shelton was a native of Savannah but lived in Augusta for the past 44 years. She was a loving mother, she enjoyed being with her family, and reading. She retired from GRU Human Resources after 17 years of service.
Family members include daughter: Amanda K. Shelton (Dewey P.Smith III); parents: Robert C. Shelton, Jr. and the late Shirley A. Twitty; sister: Frances M. Shelton; brother: Robert C. Shelton, III (Melissa P. Shelton); nieces: Jessica L. Farrell (Joshua D. Farrell) and Angelina M. Shelton ; nephews: Cory P. Jarrell, C. Tyler Jarrell, Dustin R. Gunby, Evan R. Holder, Jackson G. Driver, Luke A. Shelton, and R. Seth Shelton.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date for close friends and family.
