Carmen J. “ Dolly” (Marcello) Campiola, 85 of Methuen, MA passed away Monday June 16, 2014 at the Lawrence General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born in Methuen, Carmen was the daughter of Frank and Viola (Stys) Marcello. Carmen was educated in Methuen Schools and was a graduate from the Edward F. Searles High School. She later went on to work and retire from Raytheon in Andover, MA.
Carmen’s greatest love was that of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was very passionate about her arts and crafts, especially decorating the house for the holiday season. Carmen had a great sense of humor and also enjoyed taking rides to the beach, sitting by the pool, caring for her pets and watching movies, especially those starring Clark Gable.
Carmen was predeceased by her husband Nicholas J. Campiola, her son and daughter-in-law Mark P. and Kristine L. (Elliott) Campiola, and her son Brian N. Campiola. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Marc A. Campiola and his wife Shayna of Methuen, MA and Nicholas J. Campiola, II and his wife Cori also of Methuen, MA. Carmen will also be lovingly missed by her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Rocco Campiola, Abbey Campiola, Anna and Holly Angelone, as well as by her niece Brenda Marcello among many other family members and friends.
Carmen was also predeceased by her brother Frank J. Marcello, Jr.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00a.m. in St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen.
