Faye Maye Bryan, 80, of Tifton died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jack Perrin will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Bill Glover, David Eaton, Tony Maye, Dewayne Haman, Adam Estes, Staten Maye and Albert Hill will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Bryan was born on July 22, 1933 in Tift County and was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Maye and Grace Richards Maye, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, W. T. Maye and Lavell Maye; and a brother-in-law, Johnny Allen. She retired from the International Harvester dealership, where she was the bookkeeper for most of her working years. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula. She made whoever she was with feel that they were special to her. All of her family members were “special” and the most important person to her, when they were with her. She was married to three men during her life, whom she loved and devoted her heart and soul into their lives while they were with our family. In her relationships, she devoted her entire focus on that person and situation. The last several years of her life were spent at Tift Health Care, now the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.
Mrs. Bryan is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Teresa Partin of Tifton, Scott and Gail Partin of Tallahassee, Florida and Stan and Kathryn Partin of Griffin; one sister, Frances Allen in Tifton; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Maye of Newberry, Florida and Elaine Maye of Donalsonville; five grandchildren, Bill Glover, Ken Glover, Stephanie Partin, Reba Partin and Wesley Partin; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
