In Boston, June 16, 2014 William A. Chisholm Jr., Age 70 passed away in Tufts Medical Center following a brief illness while surrounded by his devoted family. William is survived by his loving wife Ellen (Howard) Galavotti of Raynham. He was born in Flushing, N.Y., the son of the late William A. & Eileen (McMahon) Chisholm. William has resided in Raynham since 1993 and was formerly of Riverside, RI. He attended Riverside schools a graduate of Lasalle Academy in Providence and later attended University of Rhode Island. He was employed as a union electrician for Local #99. William was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he enjoyed playing cards, golfing and above all cherished his time with family. In addition to his wife, William leaves his children William A. Chisholm III of Smithfield, RI, Bridget Feeney of Southern Pines, N.C., Melissa Childers of Wilmington, N.C., Richard A. Galavotti Jr. of New Bedford, Glendon T. Galavotti of Middleboro, Deanna Galavotti of Roxbury, Mark Galavotti of Taunton, Aaron Galavotti of Taunton and Mary Beltre of Raynham. His siblings Carol Gontarz of Portsmouth, RI, Thomas Chisholm of Allendale, N.J. and his late sister Mary Lou Chisholm. William also leaves his fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild who he loved and cared for dearly. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Saturday, June 21st at 12 pm. Relative and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 10-12 pm. Burial will be private at request of the family. Donations in William’s memory may be made to WWW.TAPS.org
