CARROLL, Richard C. “Richie”, of Winthrop, passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the age of 51, after suffering with a long term illness. Born in Winthrop on February 28, 1963, he was the beloved son of Barbara (Heath) Carroll and the late John Carroll of Winthrop. He is also survived by four brothers, two sisters, a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, an aunt, an uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews. A one hour visitation for family and friends will be held at the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Thurs, June 19, from 9-10am. A Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home at 10am. Burial will take place in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section). “Richie” as his loved one’s called him graduated from Winthrop High School-Class of 83. He was employed by a construction company in Boston, until his health beset him. In recent years, he relocated to Chelsea, MA. He was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
