Obituary

Alice M. (Bourgeois) McKinnon, 85, of Dartmouth, died June 14, 2014 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late John J. McKinnon.
Born in Leominster, MA, the daughter of the late Henry and Flora (Tuttle) Bourgeois, she was raised in Gardner, MA and lived in Dartmouth most of her life.
Mrs. McKinnon was an active communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church where she was a member and past president of the Ladies Guild and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a recipient of the Marian Medal for her many years of service to her church.
Mrs. McKinnon was formerly employed as a quality control inspector at Isotronics and Julius Koch for many years until retirement.
She was a member and officer of the Yankee Artisans Guild. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Survivors include 4 sons, John MacKinnon and his wife Alison of Hatfield, MA and James H. McKinnon, Jay M. McKinnon and his wife Kerry and Jeffrey S. MacKinnon, all of Dartmouth; a daughter, Marie E. McKinnon Vincent and her husband Robert of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Jonah, Cassandra, Sam, Ian, Isobel and Chloe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Raymond Bourgeois and Eleanor Bourgeois.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, June 20th at 10 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, June 19th from 4-8 PM.
