Zina M. I. (Inserra) Masucci, 94, died Sunday, June 15, 2014, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Mario R. Masucci for over 50 years, and the daughter of the late Owen and Margaret (Rizza) Inserra. She died peacefully in a Leominster, MA senior care facility.
Born in Utica, NY, she lived in New Bedford for almost 40 years and was an active participant in New Bedford volunteer work, dedicating over 25 years to St. Luke’s Hospital. She also was active in New Bedford garden clubs, bridge clubs and bowling leagues. She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Desalvio of Rome, NY, two sons, Maurice R. Masucci of Mt. Laurel, NJ and David R. Masucci of Townsend, MA, two nieces, two nephews, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Josephine Carroll.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church, Dartmouth. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven.
