Dennis W. Payette, 71, of Manchester died June 14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Hanover, NH on August 29, 1942, he was the son of Roland Payette and Madeline (Lebrun) Payette Cota. He was educated in the Lebanon and West Lebanon school systems and went on to receive his associate’s degree in accounting from New Hampshire College.
He was employed with the Manchester Water Works for 18 years.
Dennis will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a passionate New York Yankee’s fan who took great pleasure in harassing any Red Sox fan that crossed his path. He loved a good laugh and despite the many struggles with his health throughout his life never lost his sense of humor.
Family members include his devoted wife of 45 years, Martha (Cota) Payette of Manchester; his children, Melissa (Payette) Savary and husband Steven of Manchester, Mary Payette of San Francisco; two grandchildren, Abbegail and Hailey Savary, both of Manchester; his mother, Madeline (Lebrun) Payette Cota of West Lebanon; one sister, Michele Pearl and husband Richard of Bow; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church, Lebanon.
