William H. Cook age 82 of Hampstead, NH, died Saturday at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH.
He was born in Boston, MA, grew up and was educated in Brookline, MA. He was a resident of Hampstead for the past 7 years, formerly of Clearwater, FL.
Bill was a retired Sergeant for the United States Army, where he served in the Korean and the Vietnam War. He later retired from the US Postal service in North Reading, MA.
Bill was a member of the Reading, MA Masonic Lodge, where he was Worshipful Master. He was a member of the Bektash Shrine in Wilmington, MA, and the American Legion. He enjoyed cooking, TV, computer games, crossword puzzles, and reading the Globe.
He is survived by his wife: Jean (Parsons) Canuel-Cook of Hampstead, NH
Step Children: Pete Canuel of West Peabody, MA, Heath Canuel of Ashland, MA, Jackie Adrianni of Salem, NH, Yvonne Canuel of Danville, NH, and Tammy Maria of Nashua, NH.
Brother: Ralph Cook of Wakefield, MA
10 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews
Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 17th from 4-8 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18th at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
