Thomas Leo Carroll

Thomas Leo Carroll, 71, died June 10, 2014, at his home in Marshfield, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Tom was born in Teaneck, NJ, and spent his childhood years in River Edge, NJ.
After graduating from Don Bosco High School, Tom served 3 ½ years on a destroyer in the U.S. Navy. Tom received his B.A. in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson University. After a long career in sales in the toy industry, he and his wife were the owners of Good ‘N’ Cheap in Marshfield. The end of his sales career was spent working for Gatorade.
Later in life, Tom’s passion was his motorcycle. He enjoyed long road trips out west and was proud to complete “The Tail of the Dragon” in North Carolina.
Former husband of Doris Mary Carroll, Tom is survived by son, Michael; daughter, Suzanne Carroll Read (Andy); two grandchildren, Aidan and Benjamin; sister, Patricia DeSande (Daniel); niece, Samantha and nephew, Dan; and close friend, Sally Cobb.
He will be remembered by his family and friends for his sense of humor and his love for the freedom of the open road.
