WORCESTER___Richard V. Plante, 71, of 86 Austin St., died Friday Nov. 12 in his home.
He leaves a brother, Leo C. Plante of Worcester; a sister, Sr. Anne Miriam, S.S.A., of Worcester, a nephew, Joseph L. Plante of Shrewsbury; two nieces, Melanie J. Plante of Holland, Ma., and Kimberly Figueras of Worcester. He was born in Worcester, son of Leo J. and Julia I. (Mattson) Plante and lived here all his life.
Mr. Plante was a construction worker for several area company’s and worked many years before retiring several years ago. He was also a longtime breeder and trainer of pigeons.
He was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church and was a member of the Worcester Homing Pigeon Club. He enjoyed going to the P.N.I. Club, and was a wonderful brother.
The service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Anne, 1015 Pleasant St., Worcester, 01602. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., is directing funeral arrangements.
