Obituary

Roger A. Paquette, 80, of Woonsocket died Tuesday morning at Landmark Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Ann E. (Denomme) Paquette. They were married on October 12, 1957 and shared 56 years together at the time of her passing on March 12, 2014.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of the late George and Dianise (Croteau) Paquette. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Paquette served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Mr. Paquette was employed for many years by Garelick Farms and later worked for over 30 years for Peterson-Puritan Company in Cumberland prior to retiring.
Roger was an avid bowler (often achieving a perfect game) and enjoyed fishing and playing quoits. Roger had a special passion for home improvement projects and had a unique specialty in being able to recycle many household items into various other uses.
He is survived by a son Roger A. Paquette, Jr. of Johnston, two daughters Brenda Rossi and Barbara Sheehan and her husband, Russell, all of Woonsocket, four granddaughters Kerron and Jamie Rossi, Elizabeth Audet and Stephanie Sheehan, and two great-grandchildren Austin Pacheco and Aubrey Ganko. He was the brother of Lorraine Sabourin of Middletown, CT and the late Robert Paquette, Marie-Rose Lacroix, and Beatrice Plante. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
His funeral service will be Saturday at 11:00 in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 9:00-11:00 am prior to services.
