Obituary

James B. Skliut, 77, of Millbury died June 9th in UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He is survived by his wife Louise A. (Riel) Skliut; two grandsons Mark Thomas of West Boylston and Joshua Prunier with whom he lived and a great-grandson Jordon Prunier. He was predeceased by two sons, Benjamin and Steven Skliut, his daughter, Cheryl McGrath; his brother and three sisters.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Benjamin and Edith (Mazalauskas) Skliut. Mr. Skliut had worked as a toll collector for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. He was an Air Force veteran, during his time of service he played football, and was a teammate of many notable football greats of that era. James enjoyed fishing and sports, and enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandson Josh and great grandson.
