Mrs. Melissa A. Souza-Keil, formerly of Taunton, died Tuesday, June 10 in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Kevin Keil. She was born 44 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Jesse A. and Marjorie M. (Dion) Souza, Sr. She was educated in Taunton and had been a Pennsylvania resident for 9 years before returning to Massachusetts 2 months ago. Melissa was formerly employed as a sales clerk for the Christmas Tree Shops and, more recently, was a homemaker, caring for her family and her pets.
She leaves: 1 daughter: Kristina Keil of Stevens, Pa.; 4 sisters: Deborah Haugh of Bridgewater, Mary Fernandez of E.Taunton, Lillian Ferrara of Vermont, and Agnes DeMoranville of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Melissa was also the sister of the late Jesse A. Souza, Jr.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will follow the Visiting Hours, Thursday, at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
