Obituary

CHELMSFORD—Carol Anna (Stanton) Caster, R.N., 86 years old, died November 4th, at the Westford House, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur S. Caster, who died in 1962.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on January 17, 1917, a daughter of the late Oliver R. and Anna C. (Knorschild) Stanton. She was a graduate Michigan Schools and the Grace Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Caster served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, as a Nurse. After her discharge she was employed as a Registered Nurse at Lowell General Hospital, retiring on 1982.

She was a member of the West Chelmsford Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women’s Group.

Surviving her are a daughter and son-in-law: C. Ann and Charles Robertson, of Virginia; a son and daughter-in-law: Richard A. and Margaret Caster, of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Marietta Caster, of Newburyport; and Betty Spears, of Michigan; also several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, Novermber 12th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her funeral service will be held Saturday, November 13th, at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association; 720 Harrison Avenue; Suite 707; Boston, MA 02118.
