Warren P. Savignano, 80, of Medway died Sunday, June 8, 2014 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Frances (Costanza) Savignano for 58 years.
Born in Boston on April 9, 1934, he was the son of Doreen (Reissfelder) Savignano and the late John L. Savignano.
Warren was a resident of Medway since 1969 and graduated from Wayland High School in 1952.
Warren was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot for 20 years and retired as a major. After retiring from USAF he worked as a civil engineer at Hansom Air Force Base.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters and their families, Donna Savignano of Florida, Karen McNiff and her husband Joe of Colorado and Paula Poirier and her husband Rick of Florida and five grandchildren, Kimmie, John Warren, Thomas, Cody and Courtney.
He is also survived by a brother John Savignano of Hopkinton, two sisters, Janice Sancricca of Ashland and Arlene Williams of Hopedale and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday, June 11 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m.
