Mary (Capro) Bassaleh, a longtime resident of Wakefield, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at her home in Wakefield following a lengthy illness. She was 91 years old.
Today we say goodbye to an amazing woman we are proud to call Mom, Grandma and great-Grandma. She was the glue that held our family together. She had a great sense of humor, always making us laugh, calling each one of us to make sure we were all home safe during a snow storm. Words can't express how much she will be missed. 91 years young and will live forever in our hearts and dreams. We will always love and cherish her.
Mary was born in Zahle, Lebanon on December 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Mansour Capro and Eva (Sleiman) Capro. She grew up in Lebanon and was educated there before immigrating to the United States of America with her family. Mary worked as a seamstress for many years.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Karim Bassaleh. She is the loving Mom to Elias, Sam, Amal, Tony, Rosine, Joe and Rita. She is the loving Grandma to Marc, Roger, Laura, Chris, Nicole, Rena, Vivian, Melanie and her great-grandaughter Gianna.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mary's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 10 A.M. in the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St. Wakefield. Burial will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
