DANVERS: Priscilla A. (Jenkins) Pepper, 80, died Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Ledgewood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Beverly following an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Calvin V. “Cal” Pepper who died 1996.
Born in Swampscott on December 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Earl E. and Mary A. (Gove) Jenkins. She was a graduate of Ipswich High School class of 1954 and North Shore Babies Hospital class of 1955. She had resided in Danvers for over fifty-five years.
Priscilla worked for many years as a home health aid. She was a member of Maple Street Congregational Church in Danvers for over fifty years. An avid reader, she also loved to knit and enjoyed hooking rugs.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Laura L. and Stephen C. Ross of Derry, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul C. and Donna (Cardoza) Pepper of Manchester, NH and Roger M. and Deborah L. (Mitchell) Pepper of Plainville; ten grandchildren, Adam Ross, Amy Britos, Bethany Ross, Jennifer Strabone, Joseph Pepper, Aidan, Jocelyn, Jackson, Katharine and Declan Pepper; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Earle, Robert and Thomas Jenkins; longtime dear friend, F. Martha Swiderski and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Barbara Gustavsen and three brothers, Philip, Clayton and Richard Jenkins.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Ledgewood Rehab. & Nursing Center “Resident Activity Fund”, 87 Herrick St., Beverly, MA 01915. Interment will be held in Wadsworth Cemetery, Danvers.
