Born July 30, 1926
Passed peacefully joining his wife on June 1st, 2014. Al was preceded in death by parents John and Frances Schriber, wife Jean and son Richard. Survived by son Randy (Roxanne), daughter-in-law Nancy, granddaughters Angie Renee and Sharona (Craig) Compart, great-granddaughter Haley Beekman and great-grandsons Gavin and Garrett Compart and other family. After serving proudly in the US Army during WWII, Al went to trade school to become a carpenter, later to become Vice President of Antler Corp., a large building contractor. In 1983 Al, wife Jean and son Randy started Alran Const. specializing in restaurants and commerical buildings. He retired at age 81. Al and Jean enjoyed their home in Gem Lake, their houseboat on the river and traveling in their motorhome. Special thanks to Lake Ridge Care Center and HealthEast Hospice for their care and compassion. Visitation Friday, June 13th from 4-7 PM, with prayer service at 6:00 PM, at Sandberg Funeral Home, 2593 East 7th Ave., North St. Paul, MN. Private interment. Memorials preferred to American Lung or American Cancer Society.
