Robert Anthony Bessent, 63, of Ballwin Missouri, passed away suddenly on May 28, 2014 at his home. He was the beloved brother to Barbara H. Ziemba and brother-in-law to her husband Michael D. of Vero Beach, Florida. He was also survived by two aunts, and numerous cousins. Robert (Bob) was born on December 10, 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of the late Thomas A. and late Gloria H. Bessent. He earned a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Clemson University in South Carolina and spent his adult life in the St. Louis area working for several consulting groups over a span of 40 years, the most recent of which was Tetra Tech, Inc. His life included a network of close friends with whom he shared good times. Bob was an avid sports fan, enjoying football, baseball and ice hockey. He cheered for both St. Louis and Baltimore teams. His hobbies included golf, fishing and cards and he spent numerous summer vacations on the Outer Banks with his sister and her husband.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m. at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home, 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29B). Family and friends are invited to lunch following the service at The Bowman Restaurant located at 9306 Harford Rd., Parkville, MD. A memorial service will be held in the St. Louis area at a future date and time to be determined. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association, or to :Clemson Fund, Clemson University P.O.
