STANLEY - Marian H. Stanley, 97, of Fernandina Beach passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2014.
She was born February 1, 1917 in Petersburg, VA, the daughter of Stanley Ross and Hattie DeVol Howe. She moved to Fernandina Beach 40 years ago from Jacksonville, FL.
Marion was a devoted mother and grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. Her family always looked forward to her Christmas cookies and beautiful needlework creations.
She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Blake Stanley and by a great grandson, Ross Roberts.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Turner; two sons, Ross Stanley (Janelle) and Blake Stanley (Rose); five grandchildren, Mark Roberts (Brenda), Doug Roberts (Michelle), Becky Ray (Jeff), Sam Stanley (Cindy) and Jennafer Collins (Ryan); and nine great grandchildren, Stacee, Dustin, Grant, Sarah, Elise, Erin, Abigail, Rowan and Connor.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Green Pine Cemetery with Dr. John Davis officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
