Martin James “Marty” Connearney, age 64 of Brockton, passed away May 30, 2014. He was the son of Anne E. (Bailey) and the late James F. Connearney. Marty was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a retired truck driver. He was a free spirit and could easily be found at Nantasket Beach, on Hull Shore, Hull, MA. He loved to travel and especially to the French Quarter in New Orleans. He also loved music & poetry, and was a friend of Bill W. for 29 years.
Marty was the father of Martin London Connearney and the step father of Jessica Ricci both of Brockton, grandfather of Victoria London; the brother of Lawrence Connearney of Louisville, KY, Brendan Connearney (wife Catherine), & Mary Beth Kleinberger all of Fall River, Anne Marie Oliveira of Somerset, and the late James P. Connearney; and several nieces & nephews
His calling hours will take place on MONDAY from 5-8 P.M. in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River with a service here at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the American Cancer Society. www.rogersfuneral.com
