
Elide "Nina" Spedoni was 97 when she passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 25, the same day as her wedding anniversary of 68 years to her deceased husband, Libero.
Nina was buried following a graveside service at St. Patrick's Cemetery on Tuesday, May 27.
Nina death was preceded by her parents and two siblings, all who are buried in France, her native country.
She moved to Natick in 1946 from Paris where she met her husband who was stationed as a US soldier at the conclusion of World War II. She resided in the same Natick house for 67 years.
During her working years, Nina served as a successful sales person in several Wellesley boutiques and shops.
Nina was known for celebrating life to the fullest, never shying away from challenges that came her way. She was exceptionally strong willed and determined which served her well throughout her long life. She was known for her French and Italian cuisine, gorgeous garden which she personally kept till her death and a lively personality that made her a popular lady everywhere she went.
She is survived by her seven nieces, two nephews, and many great and great great nieces and nephews in New England, Florida, California and France.
