SPENCER; Marilyn J. (Beaudin) Burdett, 70, of 14 Lyford Rd., died Monday May 26 at Golden Living Hermitage in Worcester after a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 43 years, Randy S. Burdett, Sr., a son Randy S. Burdett, Jr., two grandchildren; Nicholas and Danielle Burdett all of Spencer, two brothers; Robert Beaudin of Webster, Leonard Beaudin and his wife Sharon of Auburn, nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Donald R. & Jacqueline C. (Vashon) Beaudin.
Marilyn has resided in Spencer all her life. She was an American Kennel Club licensed judge for German Shepherds. She began writing in 1990 with a few short articles on showing dogs. It was Marilyn who initiated the idea of researching and writing the novel “Deliver Us From Evil - Spencers’ Hidden Secret…”. She enlisted the help of her good friend, Linda K. Boutillette. Together they wrote and published their first novel in 1997.
She was a dispatcher at Millbrook Distributers in Leicester for 10 years, retiring in 2006.
She graduated from David Prouty High School in 1961 and was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish in Spencer.
Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Church and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
