Funeral Services for Mary Doster Brown, age 90, will be held at the Hunt Family Plot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashburn, GA at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday . Mrs. Brown died Sunday May 24, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Rochelle, GA the daughter of the late Charles S. Hunt, Sr. and Mary Doster Hunt. She was a homemaker and business woman and a member of the D. A. R. and the 1st United Methodist Church of Ashburn. She was the widow of the late James “Jimmie” R. Brown, Jr. and was preceded in death by her brother John Hunt.
Survivors include her children James R. (Minnie G.) Brown, III, Sycamore, GA and Mary Brown, Decatur, GA and her grandchildren Greer (Laura) Brown, St. Simons Island, GA, Kate (Michael) Brown Walker, Arcata, CA and Marianne Brown, Denver, CO two brothers Charles S. (Rose) Hunt, Suwannee, GA and Mitch (Sandra) Hunt, Tifton, GA. and Three Great-Grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
