Muriel Mindis (Herman) of Peabody and formerly of Everett and Medford passed away on May 24. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip Mindis.
Muriel was born in Chelsea and attended the Chelsea schools and graduated from Chelsea High School. She was a retired bookkeeper in the Insurance Industry. Muriel was a member of the Sisterhood of Congregation Tifereth Israel of Everett, Hadassah, and a member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Peabody.
Muriel was the devoted mother of Lorraine Cherrick and her husband Jordan. She was the loving daughter of the late Jacob and Baila Herman. Muriel was the dear sister of Joseph “George” Herman and his wife Lyn and the late Larry Herman, Isabelle Schneider, Helen Mann, and Esther Herman. She was the loving grandmother of Rachel Cherrick and the late Adam Cherrick.
Services were held on Sunday, May 25. Memorial observance will be private. Contributions in Muriel’s memory may be made to the Adam Cherrick Fund in Jewish Studies, Washington University, 1 Brookings Drive, St. Louis, MO 63130.
