Schweickart, James R. 93 of Louisville passed away on Friday May 23. He was a Army Veteran during WWII, and he was a carpet salesman for Benjamin’s and Kinnard and Franke.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Angela Schweickart, his first wife Charlene and three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife Rachel Schweickart, sons: Bernie Schweickart (Joyce), Ron Schweickart (Sandee), daughter Janice Straw (Jim),one stepson Harold Mitchell, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren, one sister Midge Payne.
Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday May 27th, at Little Sisters of the Poor, 15 Audubon Plaza Dr. Louisville, KY 40217. Visitation will be from 9:30a.m. till the time of the service. Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown is in charge of arrangements.
