Worcester – Antoinette (Christo) Thanas, 90, of Worcester, died on Thursday, May 22nd in the Holy Trinity Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after an illness.
Antoinette was married to Arthur Thanas who died in 2002. She is survived by 3 sons, Charles Thanas and his wife Faith of Leicester, Mark Thanas and his wife Linda of NH and Brian Thanas and his wife Sharon of Worcester; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Mrs. Thanas was born in Korce, Albania daughter of the late Thoma and Christina (Economy) Christo. She attended and graduated from Mary Wells High School in Southbridge, MA.
Antoinette worked as a sales lady at the Denholm & McKay Department Store for 26 years and retired in 1973. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at 11 AM in Saint Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury Street with burial to follow in Hope Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 in the church before the funeral.
