GAINESVILLE, FL: Dorothy Dunn Page, age 75, a Marine Corps Veteran, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at the Malcolm Randall Veterans Administration Hospital in Gainseville, FL. She was the wife of the late William P. Page. Born in Dedham, MA on December 15, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leo B. Dunn, Sr. and the late Dorothy M. (Harnden) Dunn both formerly of Tewksbury. Mrs. Page was raised in Dedham. She attended Dedham schools and graduated from Dedham High School. Following graduation, she was employed by the John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston. In 1950, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Mrs. Page served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged having earned the rank of Corporal. Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as an administrative assistant for the Jet Propulsion Labs at the Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. Mrs. Page lived for more than 30 years in Salt Springs, FL. She enjoyed knitting, crotchet, vegetable gardening and caring for her dogs and cats.
She is survived by 7 sisters; Helen M. Holden of Tewksbury, Barbara A. Farley of Tewksbury, Patricia K. Cumings of Windham, NH, Ida M. Mulhare of Tewksbury, Pamela M. Kempton of Pelham, NH, Mary Jane Moorhouse of Tewksbury and Dawn M. Dean of Davenport, FL; 3 brothers; Richard A. Dunn of Seat Pleasant, MD, Francis X. Dunn of North Sydney, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia and John O. Dunn of Pittsburgh, NH. She leaves many nieces and nephews including Jamie Richardson of Hawthorne, FL and her close friend; Charles Clayton of Salt Springs, FL.
Mrs. Page was the sister of the late Leo B. Dunn, Jr.
Calling hours Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Friday at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial V.A. Hospital, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA 01730 are suggested.
