Carol A. Sarcia, age 61, died Thursday evening May 22, 2014, at the Winchester Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Medford, Carol was the devoted daughter of Elizabeth (Capotosto) & Anthony Sarcia of Woburn, formerly of Burlington.
Carol has been a Medford resident for the last 13 years, formerly of Burlington. She graduated from Burlington High School with the class of 1970 and then went on to Northeastern University, graduating in 1974. She was a Technical writer and Editor, working for MIT. She also wrote many articles for different trade magazines. Carol was also an avid reader of English literature.
Carol was the loving niece of Dolores Capotosto of Medford. Sister of Leslie Ryan of Chicopee and Aunt of Megan Ryan of Andover and Michelle Ryan of Chicopee. Also survived by many loving cousins.
A funeral service will be held in the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home,60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Thursday, May 29th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9:30 to 11 AM. Services will conclude with inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
