Barzelay, Richard A., 71, of Marshfield passed away peacefully on May 22, 2014. He was the beloved husband of 48 years to Edith (Edie) Barzelay. Beloved father of David B. Barzelay of Waltham, MA. Devoted brother to Roger Barzelay and his wife Gail of York, ME and to Robert Barzelay and his wife Debbie of Holbrook, MA. Devoted Uncle of Brian and Adam Barzelay of Maine. Devoted nephew of Estelle Barzelay of Saugus, MA. He was the beloved son of the late Burton and Barbara Barzelay.
Richard worked for many years as an executive search consultant specializing in the retail industry. He was also, for many years, deeply involved with the Kiwanis Club of Marshfield both as a devoted member as well as President and Treasurer. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his spare time.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 25 from 2 to 6 p.m.at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield. At Richard’s request, there will be no funeral service.
