Edward “Eddie” Leon Brickle, 79, of Tequesta, Florida, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. A memorial gathering will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with a graveside service to follow at Lenox Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 7, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Brickle was born on January 13, 1935 in Lenox and was the son of Harry and Anna Mae Brickle, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Brickle and Bobby Brickle; a sister, Maxine Gibson; and a nephew, Harry Brickle. He was admired by all who knew him for his gentle-being, extraordinary talent in woodworking and his love of gardening. Many searched out his knowledge and expertise, which he so graciously shared.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Ann Herbert Brickle; five adoring children, Jim, Sherry, Darren, Michael and Christopher and their loving spouses, Kelly, John Fracalossi, Pamela, and Kristina; 18 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren ( 5th on the way); his sisters, Trudy B. Haley, Willa Inman and Mena Talley; brothers-in-law, Dr. John Inman, Buddy Talley, Dan Gibson, and John Herbert; sisters-in-law, Pat Herbert, Wilma Brickle and Juanita Brickle; and numerous nieces and nephews. All will cherish his memory for the rest of their lives.
