LILLIANE’S STORY
There was a woman named Lilliane
The oldest of nine
With warmth in her heart
Her light surely shined.
She started so young,
And worked so hard.
She helped her father,
So her family wouldn’t starve.
A loyal wife, she tried her best.
She gave them her life and
Tried to clean up the mess.
Half Polish at first
Then French all the way.
She left when she needed
To rest and to pray.
She loved to talk
With a French tongue
With her mother and sisters
When I was young.
A responsible mother she was always there
To catch the ball and showed she cared
Full days of hard work, little energy to spare
She always found time for her children to share.
Her love for the water
A strong swimmer she was
One day at Bear Brook
With a mission from above
A girl was drowning
My mother jumped in
She brought her to shore
Her strength came from within
A selfless lady she gave and she gave
But her family was all she wanted to save
This adorable lady known as Lilly
Mary times I remember she would say that she’s chilly.
My mom was a lady so beautiful and strong
All she ever wanted was to sing her song
Her love for whipped cream
With berries of blue
Grandmother of nine
Great Grammy of two
She’s free once again with the Lord and her friend
Lilliane and Bob having pie in the sky
Together forever no more need to cry
God bless them both The lord is with thee
My mother I carried inside of me
I love you Ma.
