Joseph “Joe” Paul Stacy, 71
One of the most kindhearted, well-respected strong men of Auburn NH passed away peacefully on May 17, 2014 at Hillsborough County Nursing Home.
Joe Stacy was a lifelong resident of Auburn who leaves behind his beloved and beautiful wife of 44 years Laurel Alice Stacy along with their three children Jim and his wife Judy of Auburn, Jill and her boyfriend Shawn of Manchester and John. But the most precious gifts that he loved more than life itself are his seven grandchildren, Kayla, Marissa, Crista, Conor, Avah, Travis and Brianna.
Joe has one loving sister Elinor Butler and her husband Ken of Pittsburg NH who are cherished.
The life of Joe started on August 14, 1942 when his parents the late Clifford E. Stacy and Lillian M. (Coughlin) Stacy welcomed him into the world. Joe owned and operated Joseph Stacy General Contracting . His many hobbies and enjoyments in life include hunting, fishing, running beagles, gardening and puttering around his barn. But most of all he loved helping out the people of Auburn.
Joe was a life-long member of the Auburn Fire Department, joining at the age of 16. He also served as the Town of Auburn Road Agent for over twenty years; he was a life-long member of the Auburn Lions Club along with a lifetime member of Spacetown Beagle Club.
A celebration of his life will be held at 5pm Friday May 23, 2014 at Longmeadow Congregational Church, 4 Wilsons Crossing Rd, Auburn. Private inurnment will be in Longmeadow Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials be given to Auburn Fire Department, 6 Pingree Hill Rd Auburn NH 03032.
