Yvonne D. (Couture) Pouliot, age 84, passed away on May 8, 2014. She was born on March 25, 1930 in Berlin, NH. She was a daughter of the late Jules and Laura (Carrier) Couture. Yvonne worked as an assembler for Holyoke Wire and Cable Co., for many years before she retired in 1989. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Parish. She was a member of the Seminole Squaws, the Seminole Walkers Club and often enjoyed playing shuffle board and walking on the Beach. She is predeceased by her husband Lucien Raymond Pouliot who passed away in 1995 and her son Robert who passed away in 2014 and one sister Alice Denoncourt who passed away in 2014. She leaves 3 sons, Dennis Lee Pouliot and his wife Charlene, Glen Allen Pouliot and his lifetime companion Sandy and Steven Wayne Pouliot and his wife Joy all of Chicopee; 1 daughter, Lisa Marie Lord and her husband Eddie of Chicopee; 2 brothers, Morice and Claude Couture both of Chicopee; 2 sisters, Madeleine Girard of FL and Monique Thibodeau of FL; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wed, May 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in Assumption Church, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 59 Bobala Rd #2, Holyoke, MA 01040. The Grise Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
