Obituary

John “Jojo” Joseph Magee,

Of Norwood, died Thursday morning, May 15, 2014, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital after a brief illness. He was 58.

Born, raised and educated in Boston, he was the son of the late Walter and Georgianna Magee. He was a Norwood resident for over 40 years.

A contract painter by trade, Mr. Magee with his wife, has co-operated Mary Carr’s Daycare in Norwood for over 10 years. He loved working with the children and their families.

Jojo made a friend wherever he went and loved to share his stories with everyone. He never missed a recital or daughters events and enjoyed salt water fishing when he could.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Mary Carr, his daughters, Jennifer Cote and her husband, Paul and Amanda Carr both of Norfolk, his sister’s Maureen Magee of St. John, USVI and Susan Carr of Norwood, his granddaughter, Rose Marie and his niece, Karina Magee.

He is also survived by his dogs, Ralph, Jeff and Sparklie.

Private Funeral Services in Celebration of Jojo's Life will be held at the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Canton, on Saturday, May 31st at 3 p.m.
