WESTON: George E. Bulwinkle, Jr., 92, died peacefully in the care and comfort of his family on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his Weston residence.
He was born in Waltham on January 15, 1922 the son of the late George E. Bulwinkle, Sr. and Hazel F. (Osborne) Bulwinkle.
He was the husband of the late Ruth R. (Wilson) Bulwinkle who died on May 26, 2012.
George was the father of Sarah A. Bulwinkle of Pepperell, George E. Bulwinkle, III of Media, PA, Mark E. Bulwinkle of Oakland, CA and Suzanne C. Franklin of Hebron, CT. Also survived by 5grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Brother of the late Barbara Leeds and Alice F. Myers.
George has been a life long resident of Weston and graduated from Weston High School. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Army and was awarded a Purple Heart. He has a long and distinguished career as a manufacturing vice president with High Voltage Co. and with Metritape.
He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, boating and raising his gun dogs. George also enjoyed to coast of Maine with his wife and family.
At the request of his family services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests that memorial gifts in George’s memory may be sent to the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, 200 Westboro Road, North Grafton, MA 01536 and would be greatly appreciated.
